Secondlife Sci Fi Convention - Tomorrowland

The Sci Fi Con opens tomorrow, May 15 and will run until the 24th with lots of shopping, activities, events and even a hunt to enjoy. It is in it's 12th year and is another event that goes towards helping raise funds for the American Cancer Society's drive to find a cure for cancer.

There are 8 different sims with different themes to them. I took a few snapshots in each but I am going to start off with Tomorrowland and a quick discussion with one of the builders, Ik9. ( He built the amazing elevator I was in! )

Ik9. (irishk9.aeon): Its my first time to make something at one of these.

Aer: This is amazing and I  was right, a spectacular view ( I was up in the tower as we spoke), I was even able to capture the rocket as it lifted off!

 Ik9. (irishk9.aeon): Yeah, that rockets great

Aer: Ok so...what inspired you to 1. create for this event and 2. to do this theme?

Ik9. (irishk9.aeon): ive been building on that theme for a while so it fell right into place for me. Ive wanted to be able to make something at it for a while, having seen the last few. I just decided to have a go this time.

Aer:  Well you did an amazing job, I love tomorrow land

 Ik9. (irishk9.aeon): Yeah, the sim is great, so much variety

Aer: It's wild crazy and totally picks up the spirit of the amusement park

Ik9. (irishk9.aeon): agreed, little world fair thrown in too

Be sure to visit this sim as it does convey Tomorrowland the theme park so perfectly. A great way to spend our time inside and yet still see some extraordinary views from the mind of it's designer.
